SHIFT: Audition

When: Friday, July 17th from 4pm - 7pm

Where: Dancing Grounds 3705 St Claude Ave New Orleans, LA 70117 Who: Performers 18 and over Female/Male/Other Dance experience Vocal experience A good storyteller What: Come prepared with a song to be performed a cappella. (Please try to avoid broadway or show tune standards. We highly encourage you to sing something that is personal to you and shows us who you are and where you're coming from. The goal is not to impress us. This is much more about your ability to connect with us.) Come in movement appropriate clothing. Headshot and resume are encouraged but not necessary. The SHIFT collective will be holding auditions for performers to participate in our inaugural work to be presented at the 2015 Faux/Real Fringe Festival. NOTE: We are an artists performance collective who works cross collaboratively in all mediums with all kinds of people, not a traditional dance or theatre company. Therefore, we are not confined to casting only dancers or actors. If you are a writer, a visual artist, work in the film industry, a stay at home parent, bake pastries, fix cars, anything, if you feel you have a story to tell we highly encourage you to step out of your comfort zone and contact us about performance or creative contribution opportunities.
